Socialism and communism blender

Bring out the hammer and sickle, it's time to spread the wealth around, rob from the workers and give to the leaches.

What I am referring to is of course, the idea being proposed to the house and senate of Minnesota "The Minnesota Health Plan." Details can be found here:

It has really catchy, sugar-coated phrases like, "All Minnesotans' will be included." So here is the outline

1. All Minnesotans will be included and covered- translated - "It doesn't matter if you are leaching off the system and don't work, an illegal alien or a parasite, you get "FREE" health care!"

2. No deductible or co-pay - translation - it's free, money does in fact grow on trees, especially in a recession with a state deficit.

3. No discrimination regarding pre-conditions - translation - It doesn't matter if you have made bad decisions in life, you no longer have to take responsibility for your actions! Problems from smoking, we got you covered, STD's and communicable diseases from illicit behavior and drug use, we got you covered.

4. You will have the freedom to choose your own doctor -allrightythen-

5. This coverage will be guaranteed for life - translation - especially nice to promise this when you don't have to pay for it, besides, we have money growing on trees for life as well as for now!

6. Premiums will be based on your ability to pay - translation - you don't work, you don't pay! Isn't big brother taking care of you! Thousands that make a living on welfare can continue to do so, Minnesota will continue to be a welfare magnate and a drain on the working class. So keep working YOU! Millions on welfare depend on you.

This will be awesome! We too can be like Canada, with waiting lines as far as the eye can see. The best part is, since there is way too much of a bill for the working class's taxes to cover this health care plan, the great state of Minnesota will fund the rest of what we cannot pick up. Which means, more taxes, because where does Minnesota get it's funds? The working class. Government funded health care! Why didn't I think of this?

Break it down. Not only will you be penalized for making more money or working harder (more money equals more contribution to this health care), but you get the joy of supporting even more people than you already do through higher taxes.

These are the first stages of early communism, take from the rich and give to the poor, spread the wealth around and we'll all live in harmony. Normally I don't let sarcasm permeate my posts, but I am drinking a really gross French Roast coffee, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I hate snow

Quite frankly, I couldn't think of a better title and I really can't think of that much to post. I simply know that I have been slacking in the blogger arena lately. Usually if I have nothing to post, I don't post.

I actually had thoughts of taking this blog down, but I have so many good posts I want to keep, and I am too lazy to copy and paste them all, so here it shall stand!

So, I am still making up for lost time. I was gone for 22 months, but still haven't been home for quite that long.
Someone asked me the other day if I ever think about Iraq. I chuckled a little as I responded, "Every day."

I have still contemplated writing a book about Iraq, but quite honestly, that will have to wait a while longer. I very well might write a piece of fiction though, and to do that, I need to keep up my writing in some way, so look out for more random blog posts.

Oh ya, and I hate snow.
