Writers Maze

I am in awe of the complexity that is involved in the writing of a book. I keep trying to hammer it out like an essay, and that has been my single biggest challenge; this is NOT an essay.

The beginning of the book is the most complex, attempting to cover several major topics required for the reader to understand the background of a soldier.

Once I work through this portion, the rest should flow. I have most of my material outlined already from my journal logs from in-country. I'll need to do a little interviewing of colleagues for fine tuning. It may take months or a year, but I am up to the challenge.

I have heard several of my fellow soldiers mention a wish to go back...more than 6 have mentioned this to me in the past month...makes me wonder how many others are feeling the same...? There is a simplicity to military life that can be reassuring and familiar...quite hard to explain really...perhaps I'll make a post out of it one day.

He book continues.

Medicare Madness

Due to reader requst, I post...

Where oh where to start with this. I think the Obamanation is trying to stuff this load of healthcare crap down our throats no matter what the America people think.

The Obama corner has always relied on two important rallying points; #1. If you make a good point you must be a right wing radical nut...#2. If you still make a good point you are a racist.

Too bad most Americans are making good points,
"We don't want your communist fingers in our back pockets, so go stimulate yourselves!"

We have the typical response from team Obama, "These aren't grassroot people saying this, it must be part of a vast rightwing conspiracy...or they are racist!"

Unfortunately, many in their own ranks are snearing at this government subsidized healthcare, as am I.

A great question to ask is, "How will this be funded?" A typical answer would be, "Raise taxes, especially on the wealthy." Because Communism works so well in a Capitalist society...
I hear Obama is requesting that Congress raise the national debt limit..? Great idea, change you can believe in I guess. People whine about the war on terror costing billions, and this administration has in a matter of months cost us trillions.

I am too tired to write much more and there is so much more to write. Thomas Jefferson said, "I think we have more machinery of government than is necessary, too many parasites living on the labor of the industrious."

I woud note that this Health Care proposal is nothing more than the governments continued attempts to control more of our lives. I wish that could be said with less of a conspiracy theory undertone, but as government gets its fingers into Auto dealers, banking, healthcare etc. one begins to be worried.

People need to quite relying on the government to solve all it's problems and come to it's every rescue. Government is supposed to regulate trade and war, and little else, yet I see more and more people "needing" government for everything. I know this is straying from the subject, and perhaps I should proof read this, but I'm not going to, I'm just going to post it.

I doubt Obama has read his own 1000 plus page healthcare document.

Tom also said, "To compel a man to furnish funds for the propagation of ideas he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical."

Ask Canada how well healthcare is working for them.
